1980 PORSCHE SC-L 3.1 PROTOTYPE ""Point One"" - The 911SC variant that packs a punch This very rare 911 variant is virtually unknown among Porsche enthusiasts as it never existed officially as an option code. Designated 3.1 SC-L (Leistungsgesteigert, or ""increased power""), this special package boasted 210 hp at 5800 rpm and 206 lb-ft torque at 4700 rpm, and achieved 0-60 in a claimed 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph. Production figures are uncertain, but estimates range from less than 50 to a few hundred.
This may well be the only example in the US and it is the subject of a feature article in Excellence Magazine. This car is a well-documented original with less than 28,000 miles.
